Lorna S. Pham, MA, Psy.D
Dr. Lorna Pham has over seventeen years of experience in the behavioral healthcare field. She received her education from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Pepperdine University, and University of California Riverside. She has worked with various populations in behavioral health including clients with intellectual disabilities, adolescents and adults with co-occurring disorders, and forensic.
Dr. Pham has held various professional roles in the Behavioral Health industry in both for profit and non-profit sectors. Her roles include: Residential Counselor, Case Manager, Quality Assurance Director, Vice President of Quality Assurance, Director of Outpatient, Adjunct Professor, and Expert Consultant. She has trained well over 200 clinicians and case managers in proper documentation guidelines based on medical necessity, reviewed and audited over 500 clinical charts, and serves an expert legal consultant for behavioral health facilities.
She has increased audit compliance by 90% and prevent recoupment from the county and state Medicaid services. She has also helped organizations in developing group outlines, documentation manual, recoupment prevention, accreditation preparation and licensing, and development of quality assurance/improvement program.
Dr. Pham is a passionate advocate for the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community, helping to destigmatize the subject of mental health and substance abuse. She was a presenter for the Cultural Competency and Mental Health Summit XVIII and Cultural Competency Summit XX.
